Happy Birthday Chia, the project is 1 year old

The first thing I would like to say is about thanks to the Chia team for the project, and congratulations on the last Birthday from the entire Russian community. I wanted to write a long and long article summarizing the results, but I think it would be unnecessary. Let’s briefly talk about what has been done over the past year.

Chia Cultivation Grant Program

During the selection, 2 winners were selected Decentralized Exchange (DEX) Hashgreen team and Chia DeFi Wallet developers of Nucleus from Emergent Coin. The winners received grants for the development of the projects they submitted.

Hashgreen is the first decentralized exchange on the Chia blockchain. The platform allows users to exchange Chia (XCH) and Chia Asset Tokens (CATs) in a secure and anonymous way. We combine open offers into an order book «Glasses in which user orders are placed» to increase efficiency and provide transaction histories and price transparency. Thanks to integration with the official Chia light wallet, Hashgreen offers you a hassle-free trade that requires a few clicks.

Nucleus is the world’s first fully decentralized open source “SPV” wallet based on the Chia blockchain. Simplified Payment Verification (eng: Simplified Payment Verification [SPV]) is the use of Chia without running a full network node.

Nucleus gives you instant access to your XCH with your recovery phrases instead of waiting a few days to synchronize with the Chia blockchain to access your funds or store your cryptocurrency on a centralized exchange. Your recovery phrases are never at risk as they are stored locally on your device and not on our servers (because they are decentralized!).

Global Chia Hackton

Hackton was conducted jointly with the Sirius Lab team. In total, more than 300 applications were submitted from different teams from 50 countries to participate in the $500,000 prize pool for the development of their project. The finalists were:

Launch of the ChiaLisp smart coin programming language

Chialisp is a great environment for creating smart transactions for the blockchain, ensuring security and ease of use. Chialisp combines the best of the Ethereum and Solidity code base with Bitcoin Core, works on the UTXO model, which allows transactions to be carried out in parallel, not sequentially. Opens up new opportunities for developers to create a wide range of services on the Chia platform, including cross-border payments and the release of stablecoins, DEX, CDEX, DeFi GameFI, DApp applications.

Cold, light wallets for Chia

At first, I had to use a wallet, which required time to synchronize. Now there is no such problem, now a lightweight wallet for Chia can be downloaded and installed on Android, iOS, Windows, MAC. I have already written not long ago about this, who is interested can read here.

CATs — tokens based on Chia

Chia Asset Tokens (CATs)— this is absolutely A new token issuance standard based on the environmentally friendly Chia blockchain, similar to ERC20 for issuing interchangeable tokens on the ETH network.
